A timeless design, where functionality meets form.
Burberry has been dressing aviation pioneers since the early 20th century, including pilot Betty Kirby-Green and flying officer Arthur Clouston during their record-breaking flight from London to Cape Town. With its thick shearling lining and open collar, the aviator jacket was designed to keep pilots warm and comfortable during high-altitude journeys. Our design stays true to those original styles whilst bringing a contemporary slant through an oversized fit and new details.
Shearling
A traditional feature, a soft shearling lining spills out at the exaggerated collar, hem and cuffs to frame the style’s boxy shape.Leather Trims
The jacket features narrow bands of smooth calf leather, which showcase the intricate seam craftsmanship.B Hardware
Designed by Daniel Lee, this new-season hardware is a playful take on our initial and is found on the zip pulls and buckles.
